I worked closely with the Managing Director of Omnitrack, John Cabrini-Dale. I also guided the technology team through the solution's implementation. The website was developed by Proxima Web using WordPress and WooCommerce, with Cadu Visentin and Leandro Miguel on front and back-end.
About Omnitrack

Context

I designed the new version of Omnitrack's website, creating a lighter and more intuitive interface with a focus on user experience. The client asked me to follow the identity I had created for their PDF catalogue.

Omnitrack's website is a highly complex e-commerce site that sells industrial products worldwide. Each product has multiple different technical characteristics, so most product pages needed their own particularities.

I spent two weeks working full-time at Omnitrack's office in England, then a month at their office in Italy (12/2022). I finished the project remotely from Brazil (02/2023 – 08/2023). We launched the website in April 2023.

Design system

Following the identity I created for Omnitrack's PDF catalogue, I built a design system in Figma covering colors, typography, and reusable components — giving the website a consistent visual language and speeding up handoff to the development team.

Web version

I used Figma to design and prototype the desktop experience — from the homepage down to each product's technical specification tables, ball transfer unit selectors, and material comparison charts.

Mobile version

The website also needed to work well on mobile, translating the same depth of content — filters, technical tables, and material options — into a smaller screen without losing clarity.

Animations

For illustrating how the pneumatic units worked I created animations using Adobe After Effects — GIFs that were later used on the pneumatic page →

Results

In the first year following launch, the new site brought in nearly 58K users across 170 countries — led by the US, UK, and Canada, with strong traffic from Germany, France, and Italy too, matching Omnitrack's international customer base. Paid search and direct traffic together accounted for more than half of all users, with organic search close behind.

Visitors viewed almost 200K pages, most often the homepage and the Ball Transfer Units and Omniwheels product lines. The site also logged over 12.5K key events, including more than 8.6K file downloads (among them the catalogue I designed) and 2.5K quote/contact form submissions.
